Role Definition

As an HSE Officer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, health, and environmental compliance for our construction projects. Your key responsibilities include independently overseeing the implementation of occupational health and safety management systems. With a focus on high-rise projects, particularly within the EMAAR framework, you'll autonomously handle safety aspects, conduct audits, and investigate incidents. This role emphasizes your ability to contribute to a proactive safety culture while managing projects independently

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the site Occupational health, safety & Environment management system is in-compliance with legal, regulatory authority, client SOP and M/Mirage standards
  • Review the contract documents for each Construction Package in respect of Safety requirements and procedures and advise the resident engineer of any deficiency
  • Review Safety Procedures as submitted by the contractors and ensure implementation is in compliance with contractual/Legal requirements
  • Ensuring all activities on site are in compliance with safety procedures in respect of the format signed off by concerned team
  • Ensuring contractor labourer’s on site are following safety procedures and report to the concerned team in case of any deficiency
  • Closely monitoring site activities, on a daily basis, issuing non-compliance if any and submit reports to the resident engineer
  • Conducting and participating in safety audits for contractor and Subcontractors
  • Investigating accident/incident and prepare the Report accordingly
  • Conducting and participating weekly meetings, monthly and executive meetings

Qualities and Skills required

  • With strong high-rise project experience for EMAAR project
  • Experienced in construction industry
  • Ability to handle projects independently, showcasing the HSE Officer's autonomy and competence in overseeing safety aspects throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications required

  • With a minimum of 10 years’ experience as HSE Officer
  • International qualifications like CSP (Certified Safety Professional), NEBOSH Level 6 OR NVQ Level 5
  • Candidates who can join immediately will be prioritized
