Role Definition
The Graduate – Masterplanning role is an entry-level position intended to support the Masterplanning team in the development and delivery of large-scale masterplanning and urban development projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of masterplans, spatial layouts, land use plans, and development frameworks under supervision
- Support the production of drawings, diagrams, and presentation materials using relevant planning and design software
- Assist in site analysis, data collection, and research related to planning studies and development proposals
- Support the preparation of planning reports, concept narratives, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with architecture, landscape, engineering, and other disciplines to support integrated masterplanning solutions
- Assist in responding to comments from internal reviewers, clients, and relevant authorities
- Maintain organized project documentation in accordance with company procedures
- Support the team in meeting project deadlines, quality standards, and deliverables
- Carry out additional masterplanning-related tasks as assigned by the line manager
Qualities and Skills required
- Basic understanding of urban planning and masterplanning principles
- Awareness of land use planning, zoning, and urban development concepts
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
Qualifications required
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Masterplanning, or a related discipline from a recognized institution
- Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience
- Familiarity or Working knowledge of relevant software (e.g. AutoCAD, GIS tools, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous
